Conductor Mercedes Diaz conducts my work “In Pulses, in Strokes…” for flute, bass clarinet, violin, cello, and piano in a concert that presents works by mercedes-diazDimitri Papageorgiou, Tolga Yayalar, Kory Reeder, Dimitris Maronidis, and Zeynep Gedizlioglu, and featuring accordionist soloist and Fulbright Artist Scholar Panagiotis Andreoglou.

If you in the Bowling Green, Ohio, area this coming Thursday, March 2nd, 2017, you can join the BGSU New Music Ensemble and dr. Chris Dietz’s concert at the Kobacker Hall of the BGSU College of Musical Arts.

«Dialog» – Dimitrios Polisoidis, Viola | Gare du Nord – Bahnhof für Neue Musik | 20:00 (23:00 PM UTC+01)

“…anD…” (2012) for viola opens the program in Dimitri Polisoidis’s recital in the concert series “Dialog” at Gare du Nord, Basel, Switzerland. “Dialog” is a concert series of the Academy of Music at Basel in  co-operation with Gare du Nord.

The full program of the evening entails works by Dimitri Papageorgiou, Klaus Lang, Slobodan Kajkut und Georges Aperghis.

This coming Sunday, December 6th 2015, the CNM ensemble is programmed to perform my work Effluénces (2011) as well as works by Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho and guest composer Caroline Shaw. Also performing is special guest cellist Kevin McFarland in a new work by Josh Levine, professor at the UIowa School of Music.

After a sold-out debut in the Philharmonie of Thessaloniki, UMS ‘n JIP (Ulrike Mayer-Spohn and Javier Hagen) appear as guests in two performances at Ackermannshof Druckereihalle in Basel, presenting new music from Greece.

The concert program includes 8 works by young and partly already internationally established Greek composers (Antonis Rouvelas, Zesses Seglias, Leontios Hadjileontiadis, Panayiotis Kokoras, Dimitris Maronidis, Haris Kittos, Michalis Lapidakis and Dimitri Papageorgiou, offering a listening panorama of the latest Greek music-making.

The new works have been premiered in February in the Thessaloniki State Orchestra Concert Hall. Since February 2013, the pieces were played in over 20 performances in Switzerland, France, Spain and Turkey.

The Swiss contemporary duo UMS & JIP (Ulrike Mayer-Spohn, Blockflöten/Elektronik and Javier Hagen, Tenor/Countertenor/ Elektronik), perform Unending are the Mazes it Engenders for counter tenor and block flute at the ME_MMIX Festival (Palma di Mallorca). The rest of the program includes:

Einer (chamber opera by UMS ‘n JIP) and further works by Luis Codera Puzo, Joan Bagés Rubí, Octavi Rumbau, Panayiotis Kokoras, and Chikasi Miyama.

The ME_MMIX Festival (Electronic Music_Mixed Music and Videoscreening) is a project of the Culture Area of the City Council of Palma and Fundació Palma Espai d’Art.

The ME_MMIX Festival’s main aim is to programme contemporary music, linked to electronic media. It also aims to promote interdisciplinary scenic related to technology. ME_MMIX Festival will present electronic and mixed works in every concert but, to provide a broader view of music from the 20th and 21st centuries, also includes works without electronics.
