The Swiss contemporary duo UMS & JIP (Ulrike Mayer-Spohn, Blockflöten/Elektronik and Javier Hagen, Tenor/Countertenor/ Elektronik), perform Unending are the Mazes it Engenders for counter tenor and block flute at the ME_MMIX Festival (Palma di Mallorca). The rest of the program includes:

Einer (chamber opera by UMS ‘n JIP) and further works by Luis Codera Puzo, Joan Bagés Rubí, Octavi Rumbau, Panayiotis Kokoras, and Chikasi Miyama.

The ME_MMIX Festival (Electronic Music_Mixed Music and Videoscreening) is a project of the Culture Area of the City Council of Palma and Fundació Palma Espai d’Art.

The ME_MMIX Festival’s main aim is to programme contemporary music, linked to electronic media. It also aims to promote interdisciplinary scenic related to technology. ME_MMIX Festival will present electronic and mixed works in every concert but, to provide a broader view of music from the 20th and 21st centuries, also includes works without electronics. The ME_MMIX programmeaddresses a broad creative spectrum always linked to the academic tradition, technological innovation and contemporary creation.
